Founding Partner

Yusuke Asakura

After graduating from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law after attending a horse racing jockey training school, he joined McKinsey & Company. He then returned to Naked Technology, a startup he founded while still in college, and became its representative. After joining the company following its sale to Mixi, he became President and CEO, leading the company's turnaround and re-growth by transforming its business format from SNS business. After working as a visiting researcher at Stanford University, he founded Siniffian with the theme of creating startups that can continue to grow even after IPO. Through this company, he established the growth capital "THE FUND" and was engaged in providing risk money to late-stage startups.
Served as an independent outside director for listed/unlisted companies such as Septeni Holdings, LUXUL, and Roco Partners. Involved in corporate actions such as integration of fast-growing companies with large traditional companies.

He is a founding partner of Tokyo Founders Fund and a board member of Startup Ecosystem Association.

His major publications include "Argument, Arithmetic, and Me," "Financial Thinking," and "Begginer Guid to Financial Thinking"

General Partner

Shota Araki

Graduated from Waseda University, School of Political Science and Economics. After working as a certified public accountant at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC, he received his MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. At Goldman Sachs in Tokyo and New York, he worked on M&A advisory and capital raising for a wide range of client companies from large corporations to start-ups, focusing on technology, media, and industrial goods. Later, he joined Siniffian Corporation with the founding of "THE FUND", an independent growth capital firm, and was involved in startup investments in more than 10 companies, mainly in the lator stage.

Yuri Nakayama

She graduated from the School of Creative Science and Engineering at Waseda University. After working as a founding member of a startup while still in school, she joined BCG, a strategy consulting firm, and engaged in consulting work in various fields, including technology, consumer, and medical.
After that, she worked as a capitalist at GREE Ventures (now STRIVE) and Rakuten Capital. In addition, she managed the accelerator program at Antler. Throughout her career, Yuri was involved in startup investments in various areas, from the pre-startup phase to the late stage.

Corporate Manager

Ayumi Arakawa

Ayumi Arakawa graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Agriculture and the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
At Hakuhodo, she was in charge of advertising and public relations for central government agencies (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, etc.), foreign affiliated organizations, and local governments.
As a management representative and Athlete Society secretariat for Dai Tamesue, she was in charge of managing a project to strengthen track and field athletes in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
She was posted to Ethiopia and Cambodia as a researcher for a JICA-commissioned project.
After 2020, she joined Deportare Partners, where she was in charge of Tamesue Dai's management and back office.
She joined Animal Spirits in 2023.
